First you need to know the rules before you can understand which ones need to be broken. Michael Rich spent three decades working in the shoe business before using what he’d learn to hack that very same industry. Michael’s passion, experience, and quite a few airline miles would manifest as a new vision for how sneakers are made.
PSUDO is that dream: an American-born sneaker delivered in just three pieces, born from recycled materials, delivering less waste and way more comfort.
Since its inception, PSUDO has been different—an independent company founded on a dedication to eco-friendliness, ethical labor, and staying local. Very few sneaker brands can promise that. Sourcing materials is a complicated business and finding domestic partners just as committed to quality is neither easy, nor cheap.
We do it because we’re on a mission to deliver the most sustainable sneaker in the world. A PSUDO is everything a sneaker should be, and nothing it shouldn’t. We source American and sustainable materials, we employ locals, and we do our very best to build a community around being grateful and giving back. We care about everything that goes into a pair of PSUDOs — the small batch designs, a manufacturing process that makes them well, and a short and transparent supply chain that ensures you get exactly what you want.
At the end of the day, our shoes are inspired by typical sneakers, while being so much more. It’s been an adventure to get here, but it’s been worth it because here is unlike anything out there.
We’ve reimagined the future of sneakers. Funny thing is the future doesn’t look much like a sneaker at all, it looks like a PSUDO.
Thanks for taking the ride with us.
